Avail- Taken
1 week of nothing, but Avail. Very good band. Hard to believe, but my ignorant ass lived a part of my life ignoring this band.

On a related note regarding Richmond pop punk, I just found out Ann Beretta is playing shows. Not my usual thing, but I may check them out soon at an
outrageous door price.

The energy on the albums always carried over to the live shows. Great band. I like Tim Barry's solo stuff but would love to see Avail a few more
times.

Avail has always been one of my favorite bands. I don't think I've ever seen a better live band with so much energy. "Dixie", "4AM Friday" and "over
the james" are all three amazing albums.
If you ever get a chance, go see Tim Barry live. I'm not very big on a lot of acoustic stuff, but this dude is so real and has so much feeling in his
songs, it's hard not to like him. He has a couple of songs that hit very close to home for me.... and the last time I seen him, I'll admit, I had to
struggle to hold back a tear. Great fucking person too. His new album "40 Miler" is more upbeat and positive than his last few albums, but it's damn
good as well.
There is suppose to be an Avail documentary coming out soon. I'm looking forward to that.
