Man I haven't witnessed so many get excited about a band like this since RINGWORM released birth is pain and started playing again. I don't get it.
Not my cup of tea I guess. I'm not dissing them, but I'm surprised they are getting such a reaction from all you.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
Probably one of the most legendary death metal bands of all time...who play out once or twice a year (and almost never the US anymore) and have never
recorded a bad note of music...no hype...no compromise...

Exactly
‘Do you know what a love letter is? It’s a bullet from a fucking gun. Straight through your heart.’
October 15th for the tickets supposedly. Be interesting to see all the punk/hc bands they get for the adjacent venue.
We're a day early with this announcement, but we can finally let you know where MDF XI will be taking place.
In a nutshell, we will be returning to the property formerly known as Sonar, and will be at least doubling the amount of outside space that we've been
used to utilizing. We realize that it's a bit of a mind fuck to wait around for a few months just to hear that the fest is returning to the same
place, but truth be told, the other places we looked at were either not able to give us a definite answer anytime soon, and/or had too many
inconveniences that we did not want to put the fans through. During the venue search, it was brought to our attention that the new owners of the
property were willing to collaborate with us, so we decided to go through with returning to a familiar place that is close to the hotels and
conveniences of downtown Baltimore.
The additional space outside will allow us to comfortably accommodate the crowd, and will allow more room for the MDF vendor village, food
vendors/food trucks, places to sit, and other new additions like misting tents to escape the possibility of it being hotter than it should be that
weekend. There will be two outside stages plus the stage inside. Due to the new configuration outside, the placement of the outside stages will likely
be different.
As for the building itself, there are some renovations currently taking place, but the rooms will be used exactly how they have been in the past, and
it will be air conditioned throughout.
We would also like to announce the addition of a second inside stage at Baltimore Soundstage, which is a 1/2 mile walk away from the former Sonar (at
124 Market Place), and will be used from Friday-Sunday. This will be a smaller show without a barricade that will feature mostly hardcore and punk
bands, and it will be scheduled in a way that should not conflict with anything going on at the former Sonar compound. All of the bands for this stage
will be included in next week's announcement on October 9th.
Dates to mark on your calendar:
October 2 - We'll post the info about where MDF XI will take place.
October 9 - The final confirmed bands will be announced.
October 15 - Tickets will go on sale. It is likely that only multi-day passes will go on sale on this date. We're in the process of determining who
will play on each day, which could take until the end of October. As soon as a list of bands for each day is posted, single day tickets will go on
sale as well.
The final confirmed bands for MDF XI are below!
With the exception of one more band that we're expecting to confirm
for Soundstage in the next week or so, this is it, folks.

I'm not looking overly forward to Venom...but I'll definitely check them out...last time Cronos took his version of "Venom" through Chicago...they
headlined House of Blues and played like a 35 minute set...was one of the most ripped off feelings I've ever had.
M'pire of Evil...aside from having a retardedly nu-metal name is Mantas and Tony Dolan (sang on Venom Prime Evil)...I missed them when they came
through but I heard they absolutely killed live.
It's actually a really good lineup from top to bottom, some epic old shit, some black metal, death...some sludge some speed. lot of more underground
stuff
I liked Dolan on the Venom stuff he did. I actually prefer the version of Countess Bathory they did with him over the original. I just look at all
of the old Venom material and I don't see how it could be anything less than gloriously cheesy fun.

Yeah I love that album...the guitar sound on that thing is crushing.
I skipped on the option for that punk fest add on...from $185 for 4 days to $215...and they haven't even announced how one fest will coincide with the
other yet? You could spend an extra $30 and have every single "punk" band conflict with a main fest band...I'll wait till it's sorted out and maybe
buy a 1 day if a bunch of bands are in a spot I can skip the main event bands for.
i had 'em in my cart the day they went on sale, then decided against buying. i know i won't be able to make it down there but i was was thinking
about buying them on the off chance i could. not happy about it, but i'd rather just know, "ok, i'm not going" than to fret over wether or not i
actually can for the next five months
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.
Yeah last year Autopsy was the Thursday headliner and didn't sell out until December. Place will be a hot sweaty mess of fat chicks with too mcuh
eyeliner and hairy dudes squeezing past you with their back zits. Cant wait.
