I know a lot of regular posters on here are east coasters.
Everyone holding out ok so far? I'm in central NJ, thankfully on a hill so I'm not worried about flooding. Last year during Irene didn't even lose
power. I have a feeling this one is going to be a little worse.
we're in the country between philly and lancaster. lots of rain and wind so far, but still have power. friends in nyc are having a rough go of it -
east river is already overflowing.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.
windows are rattling we are right on the edge of the "not evacuated" but it's not even here yet, right? I heard something about 7pm going to be the
worst? I don't know. Just strong wind here now.
In Ohio its been raining for 5 days now. Obviously nothing like the east coast. Lake Erie does have 15 foot waves. That's unheard of. Supposedly it
will hit 20 foot near the end of the day. I'm going to take photos.

A buddy of mine is in Brooklyn and the area a few blocks from him is flooded out.

Glad I am a bit inland. Hoping my car will withstands any water that does come up this way.
we're right outside Philly.
Windy as hell and rainy.
Power was out for a bit then back on, then off, now back on.
Not even sue about work tomorrow as they closed all the highways.
swell.
went out to a diner earlier cuz we were bored.
the waitresses did not give us that welcome feeling.
figuring one spit in my chicken fried steak.
power has cut off for a just a minute or two twice this evening. storm just hit land a little bit ago and is headed directly toward us. i was just
outside - not raining much at the moment, but very windy. between now and 2 am it's supposed to pass over.

Man, keep safe all you East Coast heads. I am in the middle of the US. Basement is finished and we welcome visitors. BD, I'll set up the family bunks.
We have plenty of fresh beef too. Door is open.
All of the surrounding cities and counties have no power. My city Elyria still does. Pretty grateful. No class tomorrow. Settling in and watching TWIN
PEAKS on netflix. Just started season two.
Man please be safe everyone and get some peace.

this photo is from brooklyn looking across the east river toward manhattan. you'll notice most of lower manhattan is dark - 700,000 are without
power. the river completely consumed the park and pier that are (were) in the foreground of this photo and apparently manhattan looks about the same
on the other side.

again I will say that I am grateful I was just far enough from the water that my apartment was not affected other than the occasional flicking of
lights. Working from home again today though because the city is still pretty much shut down.
