Twin Peaks

I watched it to see Sherilyn Fenn back in the day. Never followed the story. I knew the story line was off the wall weird in a way. Heck it was from the dude who did Erasurehead. Well I began watching the series on Netflix when I could. I am nearly done with the second and final season. Twin Peaks was a very good series. Inventive, strange and very enticing character plots. Not to mention top notch dialogue. Also Sherilyn Fenn was the hottest thing ever back then. Damn hot.

Great show.
The second season is definitely not as good as the first purely because so much is unanswered but then they did have to wrap the show up early.
Some storylines were a little dry (everything involving James Hurley once he's left Twin Peaks for instance) but for the most part it's awesome. All in all though it's awesome, funny and damn scary in places too.

^^^^ I agree. The second season seems a little soap opera-ish. The first season was on the edge of your seat interesting. I'm still digging the second season though, just a little less than the first. I read a bit about the history of the show before I started watching and it was rushed because no one watched, but the ones that did were fanatical about the show. Making them can it and forcing a decision on who killed Laura Palmer.

I have the whole series as well as the movie on dvd. I love it and still watch it at least once a year. Sherilyn Fenn was sexy as hell on Twin Peaks.

BD - There were two seasons plus the movie Fire Walk With Me. It's a prequel to the show, but you need to watch it last as watching it first would ruin the show for you.

What Discipline said.

I've been hitting one episode almost nightly just before bed. With respect to the second season, it has a lot of going on and it does not suck. We could make an entire thread just on David Lynch. Dude is interesting. This is a video I've seen while researching him. Dude is really bizarre. He has a series of like 3 of these on youtube.

I'm due to watch Twin Peaks again. Last time I watched about 5 years ago it definitely held up. I think Twin Peaks , more than any other show, paved the way for the awesome television we have today. David Chase sited Twin Peaks as having influenced him, even on the Sopranos. BD, if you never watched it I definitely recommend it. David Lynch's cameos alone are worth it if the impossibly hot Sherylin Fenn wasn't enough!

David Lynch's supervisor character is good stuff. Especially with the telephone calls.

Ooooh crap. I take back then second season being a little stale. As of episode 15 wow. I look forward to the possibility of talking about this and analyzing this show in a thread.
