I love being excited by new bands.

just listened to this band for the first time and am totally into it. just don;t ask me what the album name is!

Baltimore, MD's Old Lines, which feature former members of Pulling Teeth, Ruiner and Never Enough, will be heading out for a short tour of the east coast. The group are touring in support of their lastet release, الشعب يريد إسقاط النظام‎. The album was recorded by Kevin Bernsten at Developing Nations (Full of Hell, Magrudergrind, Pulling Teeth), and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. You can listen to it in its entirety here.

I love finding new bands, but I'll pass on this one.

Cowardice on West Coast Worldwide is my current new band I've been listening to. I've been trying to move out of my "same old shit" playlist. Other new stuff I've listened to (new bands or old bands with new albums) includes:

American Hell - Demo
Brawl - Punishment
Copykill - New World Error
Cowardice - We Are Nothing
Offspring - Days Go By (the first 4-5 tracks are actually alright, then I don't know what the hell happened, the rest of the album sucks dick. Dirty Magic redo is terrible)
Pick Your Side - Let Me Show You How Democracy Works

I tried to listen to Gaza but it's totally not my thing at all, and after seeing what the similar artists suggestions were for them none of those bands ever interested me either.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
