left half way thru
Mike Muir, go flip burgers cuz half the place left after they got tired of you blabbing in between songs with feedback behind you , and the sound was so bad you couldn't even tell what you were playing...

end rant

DRI , however sounded great.........and played a bunch of songs I like

Sick Of It All's set list sucked.

I saw ST a few years ago up on the Sunshine Coast, I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be but the sound in the club was really good. I just couldn't believe they didn't play Institutionalized, kinda ruined the rest of the night for me. They did bust out a lot of other classics though, but when it finished there was that whole "what the fuck just happened" thing and a hollow feeling.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I saw them probably 12 years ago and that's all I remember. They could've played another dozen songs in the time he was running his mouth.

Loved that band as a kid, but never got to see them in their prime.
They played songs I wanted to hear, but the sound in there was so bad it was um-enjoyable.
And usually I may place the blame on the venue, but DRI was on 2nd and sounded fine.

And a side note, if you could bottle the energy of Pete Koeller I would buy a crate of it. That guy is a ball of fury. Both him and his brother have not aged!

I also saw the ST show tonight.
Missed DRI and WAKE THE DEAD but heard they both were great.
SOIA killed it, I liked the set list.
SUICIDAL were awful.

If DRI come thru Philly again as the headliner, I'm making sure to go see them.
Brings back memories.

I only saw ST play once and I'm glad it was about 20 years ago, well before they began their long downward spiral of shame.

I have never been down with ST. I have tried but never grabbed me. SOIA could record themselves shitting on the floor and I would probably like it.

Not even the first album? That thing is amazing and never gets old.

I've been a fan of theirs for years, but I'll admit they ate hit or miss live. I saw them sunday at Metalfest and thought it was funny they had a back up singer hidden off to the side. They were good that night

I'm ok with people not liking me

Prime Cuts covers a lot of awesome songs and the recording sounds great. Basically the only one I listen to regularly.
