Record Store Day Wrap Up - What Did You Get!?
So I had an interesting Record Store Day and i got some cool stuff. I got up real early and headed to the local mall that the Newbury Comics is in. I
thought they opened the mall at 7:00am for people to walk and I knew the stores opened at 10:00. I got there at 7:30 and there was about 15 people
waiting outside the door to the mall. I walked over and was shocked it was so busy. I found out they only opened the door at 8:00 and then after
listening to them talk I realized all these people were there because a retro style Nike Air Jordan went on sale the same morning as Record Store Day.
When the door was opened at 8:00 they all ran to different shoe stores to wait till they opened and I went over to the Newbury where one person had
beaten me so I was #2 in line. Others showed up and we all chatted till 10:00 when they opened and we all grabbed our stuff.
I did pull one kind of shithead move. I bought the Dave Matthews box set which was limited to only 500 copies (Newbury had 2). The box set was 4 LPs
and cost $80 (now the shithead part) as soon as I got in my car I took a picture of it and popped it up on eBay for a 24 hour auction. Well DMB was
the hit of record store day because the auction ended this morning and I sold it for $320 which paid for my entire Record Store Day adventure! I feel
bad for someone else in line that wanted it, but I was there early and grabbed it.
After Newbury I went to Armageddon Shop in Providence which happened to open a lot earlier than they said. I thought they opened at noon, but when I
got there at 11:00 they were already open. Luckily I didnt miss anything. I grabbed their special exclusives (Brainbombs, Elder, Sleep) and a special
version of a Lightning Bolt LP. I hung out for a bit and then went down the street to Analog Underground. They had crates of $3 LPs that were on sale
for $1 so I grabbed 4 YES records (for when I'm feeling Prog-Rocky) and a copy of Cinderella Night Songs just for giggles.

Funny thing about the 'Mystery Side By Side 7" - at Newbury Comics it actually said Grateful Dead/John on the price tag! Way to spoil the surprise!
I really wanted the Integrity LP, but couldnt find one. Hoping one might pop up at Armageddon this week. They said they had more stuff coming in.

I just saw this on another board....
Underdog "Sandy Survivors"
35 sets ONLY available at HOLDFAST RECORDS in Asbury Park, sets include:
Underdog ST EP, Matchless 2xLP, and the new 7" from Huge
All 3 have alternate special limited edition hand numbered covers. The original covers were destroyed by Hurricane Sandy. The vinyl survived and was
salvaged by bass player Russ, and turned into these super rare (35 in the whole world) sets. The "Sandy Survivors"

Question for Honus...all the stuff you didn't get...did you take notes on that stuff or do you have some kind of super villain memory?

I got the following on RSD:
JD McPherson- Fire Bug/A Gentle Awakening on Red Vinyl
The Trashmen- with two live songs on yellow vinyl
Eli "Paperboy" Reed- with two new songs exclusive to this special RSD 45
Chet Atkins- 4 unreleased songs 45RPM EP on red vinyl
Adrian Lloyd- Excellent and sought after early 60's Garage rocker that was reissued in limited numbers for RSD only on yellow vinyl
My local store really didn't have any Punk/Hardcore stuff in stock and I only had a limited budget to play around with. However, I still walked out of
the record store a happy man. I got the JD McPherson and Eli "Paperboy" Reed 45's that I really wanted, so I really can't complain.

Do you mean about my story part? I didnt take notes on what I did or where I went, I just remember all that stuff.
For the 'Limited editions' of stuff and pressing info, I go out to RSD with a list and I posted that stuff off the digital version of my list before I
deleted it. I also keep all the pressing info I can find for all my records on my list online at...
