definitely not.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

if you ignore the cross-atlantic flight that started the whole thing off, probably nyc to vegas for punk rock bowling last year.
and beer olympics in atlanta were only ever a few hours away, but other people brought them up... those weekends were always a blast.

I went to a show at the Pipeline in Newark, must have been around 1996. People at the show seemed genuinely stunned that two English guys had gone
there. I asked some older guy how bad an area it was really was and he just laughed and said "Walk two blocks that way, and you WILL get robbed. Walk
two blocks the other day and you'll probably get shot before you get robbed."

wow this is pretty funny because we had almost the same experience at that place, however, my friend and I were 16 and 18 at the time and none too
wise of urban dangers. we were on a bus full of South Philly Metal nerds chartered by this band Insatanity. We were the only ones who wanted to drink
so we ventured off to find beer. We walked a few blocks and found some big dude on the corner, clearly selling bags, and asked him to get us 6 packs
from the bar. he clearly thought we were nuts, we were just dumb. got our beer, sat on the railroad tracks near the venue, and ran into the one other
white guy in the area at the moment, who tried to sell us hookers for the bands, and also gave the 2 block warning you got.
years ago I made a delivery on a job to a hospital in Newark and some crack heads trued to rob the truck.
Never been back since.
