Just watched the whole film. Not good, not bad. Decent for 1.5 hours. Pretty much the vapid characters you should expect from Bret Easton Ellis -
his movies but especially his books.
Lohan wasn't bad. James Deen was surprisingly good.
Basically in between the movies Less Than Zero and American Psycho. If you read the book version of Less Than Zero, toss in the vapidity and lack of
moral conscience from it. Then, you have The Canyons. I never read the book version of American Psycho, so I can't comment on it.
