Awesome.

I have to ask. What is going on in this video? Is dude just stressed out? That video is a little too close for comfort. Very nicely done and the song kicks ass. Great job!

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

Guitar intro was awesome. Didn't really pay attention to the video, just the music.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

That song has to do more with internal clocks and people criticizing the way you live. I’m going on 37 soon and ever since I was 13 or so I’ve been a night owl and slept in late. I still function decent and get my shit done in life. For 20 years though I’ve struggled with guilt over this and the feeling like I should be living the same way everyone else does. Some days I’m okay with it, other days the jokes and jabs from people can get to me and societal pressures. I’m not an insomniac as I do eventually fall asleep, but it’s just not on most “normal” peoples schedule. So the song is essentially just me trying to accept who I am and do my best with what I’ve got as I’ve never really been able to change the way I am in 2 decades, and doubt it will change, regardless of how frustrating it can be.

Great fucking song, and I can really relate to the lyrics.

‘Do you know what a love letter is? It’s a bullet from a fucking gun. Straight through your heart.’

Love this band so much.

And don't worry my friend for "the night belongs to poets and madmen".
