Home Brewing
Any of you tried it / do it?
A friend and I are making our first attempt tomorrow morning.
We took a beginners class and read a couple books, so we're gong to give it a shot.
Should be fun.

I would love to try but don't have the money. I have done the Mr. Beer but that shit is real weak like 2%.

we have legit supplies so this stuff should work out ok if we don't burn shit.
I have a couple friends who started out like this and ended up in careers brewing for places like John Harvard's and the Philadelphia Brewing co
(Kenzinger, Walt Wit, Joe Coffee).
Just looking for a hobby as we are both into cooking and drinking.
then afterwards off to Victory for food and beer.

A few of my friends over the years tried it, but none of the results were very good. One friend made a batch that was drinkable, but only if you
alternated consumption with a better (real) beer. I checked out one of those joints a couple of years ago because they really seemed to know their
shit and had a huge variety of beer recipes. For each recipe they offered a flavour comparison to a well known brand, that way you had some idea of
what you were end up with. I just don't like the idea of my beer coming in plastic bottles.

I've done it a few times and always had good results. The only pain is bottling it. I highly recommend kegging it if that is an option. Have you been
to Philly Home Brew? They opened after I moved away but Nick is a great brewer and loves talking about beer. I see they put on a bunch of events
there.

We used Keystone Brewing supply, the place was pretty huge.
Well, we took a long time gathering stuff, and by time we got back it was late, so we just went to drink instead.
Some time soon.

I've done a few batches. Haven't brewed anything since I moved, no space for it.

home brewing has never appealed to me.
home drinking, on the other had, does regularly.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.
