why Duane and Andy are awesome

None of you guys need to hear this from me; you're all hardcore Thorp/Sailor's Grave supporters. But I'm gonna tell you anyway.

There was recently a tragedy in Boston where two firefighters were killed on the job. One of them is a friend of a guy Jay and I grew up with so we decided to organize a fundraiser show. Duane and Andy were the first people to send much needed raffle items. They sent two copies of the entire Sailor's Grave catalog. This was very generous and it will definitely get people to shell out some extra money for raffle tickets. We need to raise of $6,000 from the raffle to meet our goal of $40,000 and I have a feeling we will be close if not successful.

So yeah.... Duane and Andy are awesome. Thank you, both. I'm lucky to be able to call you two friends.

It's nice to know you have friends that will help out when it counts the most.

Chad, are you playing in Taxi Driver? Where can I hear you guys? I'm in the early stages of putting something together at the Midway in June that would be 3 shows in 2 days. It would be cool to get you guys involved.

I am playing in Taxi Driver. You can check us out at: www.reverbnation.com/taxidriverboston
It would depend on when you are doing it in June. We are playing the Cro-Mags, Anti-Nowhere League, Death Before Dishonor show at the Middle East on June 1st.

Wish I could go to these shows!!!! Stupid real life.

Not to jump on anyone's coat tails, but I'm playing a different benefit show with the Gobshites on Tuesday, the 15th (which also happens to be the anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombing) at the Landsdowne Pub in Boston. Us, Barroom Heroes, and Riki Rocksteady, with a special guest TBA. All proceeds from this show will also go to the firefighter's fund.

It's all for the cause, dude. We put a link to this event and the flier up in our event page. People are anxious to support the fundraiser.

That is a hell of a good show to land. Congrats! It looks like we're looking more toward August now for the thing at the Midway. I misunderstood what Lenny had for availability. But I'll be in touch.

Thanks Mark!! Definitely keep in touch for August. We don't have anything going on yet! And John when are they going to announce the Special Guest for the August 15th show? Not that it matters to me. I will be there reguardless but if it is who I think it is then it will definitely help bring out a lot more people!!

Short-Handed Goal has been added to the lineup at the Landsdowne. I know they're working on someone/thing else. I'll drop that info as soon as they kick it to me. Word on the street is that it's a fairly big dog in the Boston scene.
