i read somewhere that exxon or one of those corps had a profit of like 28 billion first quarter....
and we just gave all the oil companies nice big tax breaks in our new energy bill...

someone explain to me how this makes sense

gas is $1.129 a litre here today.
i spent $44.50 to fill my car last night, and i own a Civic.:mad:

1.65/gallon. when i got my car a year and a half ago, it was 14$ to fill it. now it is 35$. gas prices certainly have crushed my dreams of traveling.

$2.99 for the good stuff here in brooklyn. spent over $160 for gas during our recently completed, 1700 mile family trip.
