Favorite album purchased this year

Alright, i would like to know from all of you, if you can remember that far back. Your favorite or most surprising ( in a pleasant way ) album purchased this year so far, if you are looking foward to an album ( Ramallah ) and think it might be your favorite of the year, by all means submit it. Mine is the new Social Distortion, they mean alot to me as far as going through puberty and changing and all, and I feel good when I listen to them, nostalgic. There may be alot of disagreement with my choice, but I am sticking by it, I love the new album and it has made me happiest this year. Also happens to be my favorite show this year as well. With Ramallah opening for the Unseen a close second.
What are yours?

My faves for the year:

Deceased - As the Weird Travel On
Exodus - Shovel Headed Kill Machine (not out yet, but like Ramallah I've got the leaked version)
Ramallah - KAC (see above)

about all I can think of right off that I've really really liked that has been released this year

and on DVD - Jandek on Corwood documentary - really really intriguing stuff - check out the trailer www.jandekoncorwood.com

I went nuts this year getting new music.

Favorites I bought this year, but weren't released this year:
Green Day "American Idiot"
Flogging Molly All Four Albums
Social Distortion "Somewhere between Heaven and Hell"," Sex Love & RocknRoll"
Ducky Boys "Three Chords..."
Rancid "Indestructible"
Street Dogs "Savin Hill"
The Blue Bloods "Death of a Salesman"
Darkbuster "22 Songs..."

As far as released this year:
Dropkick Murphys "The Warriors Code"
System of a Down "Mezmerize"
Weezer "Make Believe"
Transplants "Haunted Cities"
The Unseen "State of Discontent"
Far From Finished "East Side of Nowhere"

What I'm waiting on: Lind's solo album, new Ducky Boys (I think the word is next year on this one)

On the to buy list: Angel City Outcasts and Mission of Burma.

Biggest Diappointment of the year: 311 "Don't Tread on Me"

Enslaved - Isa and Cult of Luna - Salvation have beent he standout albums that I purchased this year.

Hate Eternal
The Nicaea Room
Madball
Out to Win
Sonata Artica

and a bunch of others have been good. I will list more when I have more free time.

I do. Actually, someone had them listed as what they're currently listening to on this board (maybe it was you, I don't remember now...but thanks to whoever it was). Anyway, I was at a local record shop and they had a single with falling/dirt for 3 of 4 bucks, so I picked it up to give them a listen. Good stuff.

you have really varied taste in music, thats awesome! I get psyched when other people like a ton of differant stuff becasue most of my friends are pretty limited in the stuff they like.

As far as the stuff on your list. The Blue Bloods CD is awesome! I loved the first one and the 2nd one is even better! I would definitly like to check out the new System of a Down and the new Transplants. I havent been buying much lately.

haha indeed I do. And that ain't the half of it. Indigo Girls, Eminem, Hudson Falcons, Kings of Nuttin', the Skels, Springsteen, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, Melanie, U2, Smashing Pumpkins, Primus, the Jesus and Mary Chain, the Beetles, Van Halen, Guns and Roses, Elton John, The Sundays, The Sugarcubes, Stereophonics, the Welch Boys, Pink Floyd, the Moody Blues, The White Stripes, Concrete Blonde, H2O, Sarah McLachlan, Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, A Tribe Called Quest, James Taylor, Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arrested Development, Cypress Hil, Rage Against the Machine, NIN...sorry, I'll stop now. But yeah, I'm all over the place with music. I love the diversity of my collection.

The new blue bloods is awesome. I got to see them play in the beginning of August and they were great, so full of energy. u2u me if you want to check out those two albums you mentioned.

My answer, without hesitation, is "Organizing Our Neighborhood" by North Side Kings. I've been slacking on picking up the new Madball and of course I'm pumped for the new Ramallah.

Lots of good stuff, some I have never heard of, Banjo and Sullivan, isnt that the made up band that is terrorized in Devils rejects??? They actually have an album? Is it good? I might have to check that one out. I buy albums (cd only) like a mainiac and I have all kinds of stuff that I really got into this year. Too many to list, but here are a couple of stand outs.......
dragstrip demons
boz boorer
stevie tombstone ( most recent purchase )
two dollar pistols
Best of Junior Brown

Honky tonk is the new hardcore:)

Best I got this year:
Springsteen "Devils and Dust"
Marilyn Manson "Lest We Forget"
Nine Inch Nails "With Teeth"
Lucero "Nobody's Darlings"
Joe Strummer "Streetcore" (though I may have got this in late 2004)
Dropkick Murphys "Warriors Code"

I have bought tons of CD's this year.
