Ultimate Fighting Championship

I dont like violence, but Im starting to love this shit. I was over a friends house this weekend and he's got HDTV and a nice large plasma screen tv. We watch a rerun of UFC 52, and that shit is amazing. What fucking skill those guys have, and some of them can really take a pounding.

Im also hooked on the Ultimate Fighter 2. A friend of mine has a friend who is actually on the show, so root for Luke!

Since I dont really like violence I never watched it, but for whatever reason I became interested in the fighters themselves.... their fighting styles, records, stuff like that, and I started checking out the photos of the fights. Finally I decided to watch it, and afterwards I was so pumped up I couldnt fall asleep.

i liked the first dozen or so before all the rules came in. fuck remember how exciting the first few tank abbott fights were? think the last one i saw was around 22 or so

They used to let the fights go on longer, big John has been there since day one, but he wasnt so quick to stop an ass beating, and then it became more and more technical, about the only thing you couldnt do in the beginning was give a nut shot, anything else was alright. Tyson might have even gotten away with eating Hollyfields ear during the good old days if they had been in the octagon:P

UFC is good. But PRIDE FIGHTING CHAMPIONSHIP is way better. The fighters are alot more skilled and from around the world. Some of the knockouts and submissions are outright scary to watch. There's a few different rules in PRIDE, like with throwing elbows, knees, etc. It's so much fun to watch. It's in a regular boxing ring. If you can find any, search for knockouts by a guy named Mirko Crocop. He used to fight in K1 (kickboxing), and did pretty good, but he went to PRIDE and destroyed everyone. His high kicks are amazing, everyone knows that's his specialty and still gets knocked out by him in one kick. He breaks jaws/eye sockets with them, it's nuts. Him and (forgot first name) DaSilva (aka the axe-murderer) are the two toughest humans on earth. If you can get it on paperview, it's so worth it.

Cro Cop wrecked Sappe in under 3 minutes if I remember correctly.

I watched that marathon 2 or 3 sundays ago on spike, Luke is the one with the colored hair?

I was also glad to hear bobby was out, the other dude who said people thought he had "punching bag appeal" won that bout.

Melvin looked like he could fight. He just looked intimidating, and I thought for sure that Josh was gonna get a beating. For some reason Melvin didn't go after him. I thought he'd be way more aggressive, but he kinda looked scared. I was definitely rooting for Josh though, because I hate loud mouths. I think Josh got hurt though. In the previews for next week's show he came into the house with his arm in a sling so who knows what's gonna happen.
