the Fab Faux

its a Beetles 'tribute' thats on Howard Stern right now and they are FUCKING AMAZING! Its a bunch of guys from other bands. 2 guys from the David Letterman band, a guy from the Conan O'Brian band and 2 other guys (5 in the actual band). Then they have 2 horns, a chello & a violin.

They dont wear costumes or talk with accents. They just recreate Beatles songs EXACTLY like they were recorded. They play them more accuratly then the Beatles were able to do live. its UNREAL!

I guess they do some shows, but not many because they all have other full time gigs. Howard said they are all switching off instruments depending on the parts and what not and that its more impressive to watch then to listen to. Thats saying alot because I cant belive its a live band and not a recording. Unreal!!

So they were in the studio? Does Stern still have a TV show? If so, I wonder if they'll be on. I'd be interested in hearing what they sound like.

They were in the studio, but the Stern show on E! isnt on anymore because the contract ran out and the station wouldnt renew it based on his move to satelite so it wasnt filmed.

Im at work so I cant totally check out the website, but theres probably some audio and maybe some video on www.TheFabFaux.com

While the band seemed talented (easily more talented then me) they sounded like shit. It just reaffirmed to me why I hate the fucking beatles.

Im not a huge fan of the Beatles, especially the stuff they were doing, but I think that "I am the walrus" and "Strawberry Fields" sounded amazing. When they did "I am the walrus" it sounded like Howard was playing a CD of the white album to me.

Honestly I couldn't have been able to tell the difference. I doubt I even know the lyrics of those songs. Oh well...

In todays world, there are two types of people.......beatles people and Elvis people, I am an Elvis person. The beatles made pop huge and forced rock to the back burner....shame on them, I'm glad jacko the Wacko owns the rights to their music, perfect fit.
