How Much More Can I Take?!

Ok, the world has officially got me down! I can?t believe what a mess the United States is in.

We have a president that over 1/2 the US is now unhappy with and were stuck with him for another 3 years and stuck with people he appoints for pretty much the rest of my life.

We have a natural disaster that has displaced thousands of people and killed thousands on top of that. If they rebuild New Orleans it will cost all of us thousands of dollars in taxes. When they rebuild it they won?t rebuild housing projects! That land will become high end condos! This means that the people that have been displaced probably won?t be able to afford to go back!

Were in some sort of 'war' that to me is almost like a 'war on terrorism' being fought with terrorist tactics. Were trying to push a form of government on a country that doesn?t completely want it. If they succeed it will be at the cost of thousands of US soldier?s lives & billions of dollars spent on another country when there are homeless & hungry people back here AT HOME! If you haven?t heard it in awhile, put on Jello Biafra 'Die for Oil Sucker'. It?s probably 12-15 years old, but almost every word of it is completely relevant to that state of the world today.

On top of all those things I?ve had a bunch of personal crap and issues that I posted about here awhile back (thanks for everyone?s feedback). I have a good paying job, but I hate it. I dread going to work everyday, but I?m a responsible person and I can?t just quit with nothing else go to. On top of that I have no idea what I would enjoy doing. I?ve never had a real interest in doing anything as a 'career'.

*sigh... Ok... I?m probably creating a label of 'the whiney guy' for myself on this board. I?m just very thankful that you guys are more patient and accepting then people on some other boards.

the supreme court nominations have me down, too. we're talking about two conservative placements that will likely remain on the bench for an entire generation. there are going to be some serious changes in this country.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

definitly.... HUGE changes and not for the better in my opinion (Im saying that just to acknowledge that I know it is a matter of opinion).

There are just so many other things. Like that guy that stabbed the baby. What the fuck is that? How low has humanity sunk?

The people in New Orleans that were shooting at the people trying to fix the leavys so the water whould stop. The people shooting at rescue helicopeters? Are we headed for a country that resembles Mad Maxx Beyond Thunderdome? I know were all animals, but give me a break!?

There are WAY to many blatant displays of people showing NO care what so ever for other people. From simple things to huge things. People just dont fucking care anymore.

I know how pissed of I get and how crazy I feel sometimes. I also know there are people that are ALOT more angry and crazy then I am. That being said, I am AMAZED that someone hasnt tried to shoot Bush. I woudlnt really be surprised if they didnt hit him or didnt kill him, but I am really surprised that someone hasnt tried.

http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/09/07/bush.assassin/index.html

"WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A federal grand jury in Washington Wednesday indicted a citizen of the Eastern European nation of Georgia for attempting to assassinate President Bush by lobbing a hand grenade in the vicinity of the president during a rally in the capital in May.

The two-count indictment charges Vladimir Arutinian, 27, of Tbilisi with attempting to kill the president, an offense that would carry a maximum life sentence upon conviction. He was also charged with a related weapons charge.

Arutinian was apprehended by Georgian authorities on July 20 after a shootout in which a Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs agent was killed. Arutinian was found in a nearby wooded area a short time later, officials said.

Arutinian is scheduled to go on trial in Georgia for the murder of Georgian agent Zurab Kvlividze.

The U.S. government currently is not seeking extradition of Arutinian, Justice Department officials said. However, they may choose to do so at a later time.

On May 10, the would-be assassin threw a grenade into a crowd about 65 feet from the stage where Bush had just begun speaking, but the grenade, wrapped in a plaid cloth, failed to detonate, authorities said.

Initial reports said the grenade was not live, but authorities later said it was.

The Justice Department and Secret Service issued a joint statement praising the government of Georgia for its "extraordinary cooperation" in the case."

The assassination the President would yield devistating consequences for our country. For reasons legal, moral, ethical, economic and political there couldn't possibly be a worse thing to do. It would not solve a single problem, and would create innumberable issues for a nation already in turmoil. Besides, just consider these two words: Dick Cheney.

Very wise. I think you hit it right on the head. Man, I wish more parents had your outlook. It's very refreshing.

The state of the world has changed my outlook on wanting to have kids. I have always wanted to have kids, my GF of 3 1/2 years has always wanted to have kids. But I am second thinking bring another human into this shitty world.

I'd almost rather adopt just for the fact that it is not me bringing someone into this shit, i'd just be helping raise someone that had been brought into this world by someone who made a bad choice.

Me, a pesimist? Naaaaaa ;)

I still can't believe the US let this guys continue to run shit into the ground soley based on fear tactics.
Australia is now looking to pass new anti terror laws & we've never been a target. Experts say Japan is more likely a target then us simply based on population density etc.
The world is fucked.

Anyone hear about the Codex on nutritional supplements and the drug companies heading a global WHO/UNICEF organization which will in effect control natural remedies & vitamins too? PAN Pharmaceuticals from Australia was one of the biggest rivals to the big pharmo's til the TGA shut them down claiming vitamins were harmful...yet Merck & others still operate when Vioxx etc have been proven to kill & vitamins never have, their fucking essential to life and they broke the company for being a competitor.

www.evehillary.com or something, check out her articles on the codex.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

yeah codex is evil...
basically you couldn't buy vitamins anymore without a perscription
and they could only be produced by major pharmaco...
stores like GNC would have to close
all natural suppliments made indepently would be gone...
no more hippies selling ginsing
