There should be a 50 post minimum before you can advertise an auction or try to sell something, or even just promote a new band. Contribute to the board before you want someone to contribute some cash or attention to whatever your promoting.

and it is quite a few, too. for the most part, i don't mind, cause you never know what someone may have for sale or what a new band may sound like. some, like bystander and dom, i look forward to. or if after you post you ad, you wind up becoming active. most just get pushed right to the bottom, though.

I think as far as bands promoting themselves, its cool. Where else but a record lable board can you get your music heard. I do agree that you should contribute to the board as well as promote your stuff (selling or otherwise).
