Swiz started in the late 80s in DC after Shawn Brown (vocals) got booted from Dag Nasty. I saw them once or twice as a youngster. Good stuff. Don't
let the Jade Tree association fool you.

While were at it... has anyone heard Fury? Holy crap, this is an obscure band, but I always thought they ruled.

Yeah, that Fury seven inch was fucking brilliant.
It's funny, I always thought the Dag Nasty stuff with Shawn Brown was their worst, but Swiz was so good that I can't figure it out. Just bad
chemistry, I guess.

head that I wouldn't call "gay", well, Dischord nowadays definitely fits that term, but not back then.

What can I say? I've had a soft spot for some of that old D.C. "pre-emo" stuff ever since it first came out. I love me some old Soul Side, Embrace,
Rites Of Spring, and such. I don't break it out often, but it has missed the repeated cullings of my record collection and a LOT of other stuff people
would EXPECT me to have has been sold off.
