Is there anyone more retarded than scene kids

so-called straightforward hardcore crowd. Nothing but fucking sheep mentality. Don't want anything that is even slightly outside of
scene trends. You're so fucking concerned with scene trends. Must own the right records. Must own the right shirts. Not to mention shoes. What the
fuck difference does it make what shoes you fucking wear. Wear whatever the fuck you want, not what anybody tells you. For fuck sake. You shouldn't
need to spend tons of money to be hardcore. Buy a record because the music is good, not because it comes in a nice color.
Ah, fuck it, who cares, hardcore was already doomed when kids started to name their mosh moves. |
couldnt agree with you more. ive gotten dirty looks for wearing a billie holiday or "god forbid "skynyrd" shirt to shows before. when did we become
fashion police? as for shoes im in a rural area so it hasnt gotten that bad yet here but im sure it will..i thought this music and the lifestyle that
accompany it were supposed to be an alternative to the mtv generations infantile narcissism?
bargain for what..for what the mirror speaks.
nothing will alter the true reflection.

Someone said this on here before i think, but "back in the day" we got into hardcore and identified with the lyrics partly 'cause we felt like
outsiders, who didn't fit in with the trends/fashion of the time. We were pissed off about how things were and wanted no part of it.
Nowadays kids are getting into hardcore 'cause they want to be part of the trend/fashion and a lot of the bands are part of that... I think that's why
the lyrics of most "hardcore" bands these days are the meaningless, throwaway stuff I'd normally associate with metal rather than punk music.

thats the thing you see, kids. the term kids is not something i fall into. im 28 married with 4 children. its the 'kids' who bother wearing all the
shitty 'neb' clothes. they walk round wearing stupid m/manson, slipknot, metallica shirts and stupid make-up, rattling down the street with their
chains and they think they know all about rock music but when you mention some of the bands they look at you like you've just talked some foriegn
language! the 'kids' image is everything i hate about being into rock. i could just walk up to them sometimes and give them a slap and ask 'what the
fuck are you doing?'
you see, now im annoyed.
maybe its just a little different over here in the uk but to me, hardcore is the type of rock music that is against all that bullshit. it doesnt fuck
about.
hardcore is the anti-rock image to me.

I can't claim to be that old (25), but I still feel like most of the kids at all ages shows assume I'm a narc, I kind of enjoy it. For the record I'm
not a narc, but Dave is.

When I first got into "the scene" it was the mid eighties and we used to make our own band-shirts, cuz most of the bands didn't actually have merch.
As for shoes I wear DM's cuz I can afford them now, back then it was army surplus combat boots for 10$, now even those are like 60$. There's always
been poser kids who come blarin' into the scene talkin' shit like they've always been there and know everything there is to know about punk rock. Fact
is half them won't be there next year, or when school lets out. I think there's a lot more of them than there used to be, and I attribute that to the
fact that no-ones smashing them in the lips.
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?

you got me beat by a few years man but ive been around since the beginning of the ninties and ive witnessed that shit since day one. tolerance is a
good thing in some cases but when it comes to spoiled hobbyists polluting our scene i think a lot of teeth are begging for a good smashing.
