Hair Cut question ... Calling All Skinheads!

I have most of my head shaved with clippers using no guard so its just about as short as you can get with the clippers. What I want to find out if anyone knows any ways or anything I can do to avoide or get rid of the little red spots that show up on my head after I get a hair cut.

I never had dandruff or dry scalp or anything, but with my hair super short like this it gets itchy and sometimes feel like little tiny pieces of skin or something come off when I rub it.

I have enough hair on the top that I use shampoo in the shower and I still use the same as when I had longer hair. Its Pert Plus I think.

Any suggestions?

I've never had that problem. Are you pushing too hard with the clippers and catching yourself?

You getting red spots on the sides I take it? Do they eventually go away? Might just be irritaion from the clippers then.

Try aftershave with moistener, might hurt at first, but might work too. I use clippers with no gaurd and sometimes get flaky but no red spots??

Im thinking that MAYBE they are ingrown hairs. Theres not tons of them, but sometimes in the back they feel bumpy. Im thinking Ill switch shampoos to something for DRY hair/scalp and see if that makes a differance for better or worse.

Its not the clippers catching the skin because it never hurts, but they have seemed to pop up less and less as I get it cut more often.

thanks

Using an alcohol based aftershave could help you. This closes the pours but can dry out your skin so it is a delicate balance. It is most likely ingrown hairs and those fuckers hurt.

Another few years and I might not have to shave my head. It's starting to go bald naturally. At least on top anyways.:D

Well I know that a Straight Razor isnt the way for me to go and Im not sure if aftershave would work. I mean theres no guard on the clippers, but it still ends up being kind of 'fuzzy'.

I get the same thing when I shave my head, mainly where the indentations on the cranium behind the ears.

Few days it goes away.

i had the same problem but always just used some aftershave or dealt with it... it usually goes away after a few days which has already been said and all that jazz... I clean shaved my head from when I was 21 - recently since I have been growing my hair out and going to the barber

If I don't shave my head often enough I get the same thing. You just have to keep shaving more often.

I don't use a guard either, but i have never had any spots, in the 12 years of shaving my head.
sometimes i wonder what i'd be like to have "a hair cut". but i like the shaved head, and so does the woman. as soon as it's been a couple weeks without cutting it, "when are you going to cut your hair", or "oh, i thought you were going to cut your hair today?"
