DANZIG
Last night I went to see Danzig (I know), but he is doing the Misfits set with Doyle. I have never heard the Misfit songs done live by Danzig. His set
list is do some of his songs then half way through do the misfit set for 30 minutes then come back and do more of his own songs. Into the second song
Danzig was talking shit with some guy in the crowd. i don't know what happened but he was calling this guy a pussy, but he would go take care of it
himself. Then a couple of songs later some dude spit right in Danzig face and he threw his mic at the guys head and then stormed off stage right in
the middle of the song. The band kept on playing and the bass player sang the rest of the song. Then they went off stage. A few minutes later they all
came back out and Danzig was calling everybody mother fuckers and saying how Houston used to be cool. Bad mouthing everybody. Then he brought out
Doyle and preceded to kick the shit out the Misfits songs. The place went off for those songs, big circle pit. No pit on his solo songs. I kept
yelling at him to take this as a hint. People want a "REAL" Misfit's reunion. After the 'Fits tunes he left the stage again never to return. I
confronted the sound man and told him to tell Danzig that everybody didn't spit on him and we payed good money to see his full set. Then I told him
NORTH SIDE ARE UNDEFEATED.

i could go into my near assault on a 16 year old danzig experience at the tower theatre in UD PA..but i wont...lets just say he feels allot taller on
stage with 30 security dudes between him and u....

I have the Philly show on DVD and its awesome. I got to see it live in Boston. I didnt want to spend the money, but it was TOTALLY Worth it! I like
Danzig solo stuff, even some of the newer stuff, but the ticket price would have been worth it just for the misfits songs with Doyle.

i saw danzig when i was 14 or so when he toured for the first solo cd and he was super cool. even played a couple of samhain songs...i saw him with
ozzy and sepultura and walked upstairs to get a snack..shit he was wearin a fuckin body stocking...i walked out on his ass at the tower when they
tossed y friend for that altercation...i remember he threatened to hit some kid down at tower records when he was signin autographs because he wanted
a walk among us record signed...this was in like 89 or 90...fuck him then fuck him then, yay danny

yah its Robo now and suposidly they play alot more Black Flag stuff. when I saw them with Marky Ramone they played like 2/3 Misfits 1/3 Ramones and
ONE Black Flag song (Rise Above) I was bummed.

I agree... but the weird thing is that hes really doing it to entertain people. He works a 'real' job 6-7 days a week when they are not touring. Him
and Doyle (I think Doyle is still involved) Run a company that makes the #2 competator to X-ACTO BLADES. He works in the plant all the time and
really doesnt make much money off Misfits stuff.
I saw them a few months ago and I knew the guy that was touring with them doing merch and he told me all that stuff. He also said that Jerry and Dez
were really nice and that Marky was an asshole. Jerry and Dez will sign anything for anyone and Marky hates to sign autographs because he sells signed
sticks and drumheads at the merch table. The guy also told me that when they got to a club Marky would walk around the stage looking for old drum
heads and if he found any he would sign them and sell them at the merch table.

Rollins toured late last year with his band and would play half and half sets, Rollins band and then Black Flag, did anyone else catch it ? I couldnt
make it when he came through but I had some friends that went and said it was amazing.

The Danzig interview that was in the last issue of Revolver was classic. Besides his claim that the NSK video was edited, they ask him about writing
London Dungeon after being arreseted in London. He goes on to talk about how he, by himself, took on like 6 or 7 skinheads and then was taking out a
pile of cops too. Yeah, sure.

there is a band in halifax called Dead Red www.deadred.com and they do a misfits cover set every holloween. They are better than Danzig could ever do it now. I've seen the misfits with
Micheal Graves and this was completley better, full make up and all.
