BEST SINGER EVER.
so I didnt get the name of these guys, but they opened up for Cheech and Johnny Vomit last Friday in Chicago. I guess the singer is a vendor for
"Streetwise", the local magazine homeless guys sell to make money to get a leg up. Either way, the band was total bar rock...maybe like Boston, meets
Fear with a Biafra-esque vocal approach. This guy had the greatest stage presence ever...he kept doing these insane dances and hopping around on one
leg and sway his hips like he was doing an invisible hoola-hoop. It was fucking a.mazing

Phil Irwin, Thee Whiskey Rebel. He lives down in
San Marcos (just south of Austin) now,or at least he was a little over a year ago. I met him a couple times at the record convention that happens in
Austin twice a year. He didn't really strike me as being anything like this guy though....
