Verbal Assault Appreciation
With all of the craptacular old bands that get high praise on this forum I thought I'd bring up an oldie but very goodie. I've been listening to
Trial lately and can't believe how fucking good this band was. Amazing guitar playing, great bass playing, not brilliant but intelligent lyrics sung
with passion.
With all of the hours wasted talking about mediocre bands like Crippled Youth I thought it would be nice to bring up a great band that I never hear
much about.

Verbal Assault were definitely an old favorite. One of the few bands from that era whose records I never sold off or traded in. I still have every
V.A. record I ever bought including Tiny Giants, which I guess is kinda hard to find and/or pricey nowadays. Great band even if they aren't exactly
the type of stuff I listen to much anymore.

Not a favorite, but definitely a good band.

not bad, more into verbal abuse
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on
fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

bunch of bands that I do love and so everyone is always shocked when I say that I never could get into them. I just don't understand what anybody sees
in them, they sound like a really boring and generic version of bands that I do like, as in The Offenders or Poison Idea. While I love all the bands
people compare them to, I just can't get into Verbal Abuse.
