Not off to a good start...

My wife and I went out for dinner tonight. I had snails in garlic butter for an appetizer, then mussels and and fries for dinner. Delicious, but poor form on my part.

To be fair, I don't plan on getting serious until next week.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

yeah portions are tough

what's interesting is a child's stomach should be the same size as it's fist....

if that holds true through adulthood, imagine only eating the size of your fist for your entire meal...
or even 2 of your fists.....
that seems like noting but could be considered a goal I guess..
a tough goal but a goal none the less

Sunday I ate 4 slices of toast with non fat 'butter' for breakfast. I had a grilled chicken salad & 2 hot pockets for lunch and then I had a small frozen pizza for dinner. (not a great day, but not a bad start)

yesterday I ate 12" subway sub for bfast/lunch and then I ate 2 hot dogs and a baked potato for dinner. I ate some low fat animal crackers for a snack.

So far today I havent eaten anything (8:45am on Tuesday), but its my first day back at work and we are really slow so Im worried!

Eww. I've never had snails before. What do they taste like?

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

I'm off to a pretty bad start too. I got sick as fuck over the weekend and picked up tomato soup, grilled cheese makings, and cookies on my way home from work yesterday. The soup's not a bad thing, but since I like to eat two grilled cheese sammiches along with every bowl, it's probably not the best. Especially since I slather them in margarine before grilling them. I should probably lay offa those cookies too, but DAMN those Golden Uh-Oh Oreos are gooooooooooood. Also, since I took a sick day today, all I did was sit around on the computer all day. Not exactly on my way to that more active lifestyle.....

Theres a "I cant beleive its not butter" Spray that is ZERO calories and low fat or fat free that works just as well as margerine. If you use that and use a Fat Free cheese your Grilled Cheese wont be bad at all! Especially on a 'light' or low cal bread.

There are also baked oreo 'chips' that come in bags of 100 calorie servings. They are not as good as real oreos, but they are not bad at all. They also make Chips Ahoy the same way.

i have been sticking with one cup of yogurt with grape nuts mixed in for breakfast. an apple for mid morning snack. smart ones frozen dinners for lunch with diet soda. trail mix (peanuts, raisins, almonds, dark choc chps) for late afternoon snack and different combos of white meats with veggies for dinner. had herb baked salmon with carrots and broccoli for dinner on thursday..........not a bad start, but not easy. I slipped last night and had too much pizza, but drinking about 80 to 100 ounces of water a day and diet soda. no beer last night.......amazing for me. pt three times a week, military directed and i could get a personal trainer through the base gym for free. i may do it, not sure yet.
