It is an assortment of spiced meat on a spindal rotating around at a constant speed with a constant heat on it...not hot enough. It is served on a pita with onions and tomatos with a sweet white sauce on it.

In our city there was a rumor going around that the store clerk "spiced" up the sweet sauce on his own. That was the last time I at a donair after I heard that.

Its kinda like a gyro.

I fucking love gyros. I live in a neighborhood with lots of Greeks and there's this place a bunch of blocks down the street from me that makes AWESOME gyros and greek salads. I have a feeling that I'd love Donair's too.

Are these exclusive to the great white north?

DONAIR SAUCE= sour cream, vinegar, sugar.

I think. I don't know what proportions. Maybe one of my NS brethren can help-out. (and I'm The Greek, that's just sad).

If you can......then you should see a doctor right away!!
Roberts Donairs can been leathal, if ones blood is not
thin enough. A proper blood/ alcohol level must be reached
in order to survive such a donair encounter.....
