As I am sitting here....

I just overheard the news in the other room that congress is passing a bill requiring cable companies to offer an "Ala Carte" service to help with the high prices of cable. What this means is, you only pay for (and get) the channels you watch! I think this is great and would cut my viewing range down from around 300 or so channels to under 20 or 30. Works for me!

wow.... they really passed that!? I think its a good idea too, but its going to mean a LOT of channels going out of buisness. I mean how many people are going to pay for things like E! or Hallmark channel if they dont have to.

Well, if the chanels are on the air, there is obviously SOMEONE watching them. I watch E! sometimes, but if I had an option for it, I don't know if I would take it or not.

People may be watching them NOW, but when they are given the option of paying an extra buck or two to have or not have E! or Halmark or Oxygen or MTV Hits2 or NickGas.... I think things will be differant and we may see a lot of stations just going away!

ok maybe that was a bad example, because I might pay for it too, but I dont think there are that many people that would.

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

I've been waiting for this sort of thing to happen. There's really only a handful of channels that I actually want and watch...

Speaking of Cartoon Network... anyone watched "Wulin Warriors" yet? It was on tonight at 8. Kung fu PUPPETS!

Man, I don't even have bunny ears. We get shit reception of something like three, sometimes four channels and two of those are spanish. I haven't had any kind of real TV or cable in almost a year and to be honest, there's very little I miss.

Video stores rule too, and in your case, if you watch tv at all, it sounds like you get some use out of yours.
