I used to like some stuff by Earth Crisis, Strife & Snapcase. I dont mind Path of Resistance either.

Im not a big fan of any of the lable stuff except BFB. I was always more of a Revelation fan or Taang fan.

Definitely alot of metalcore fans here......I think if thats your cup of tea then Victory in the nineties was THE label to get that stuff out. I did like Snapcase alot until designs for automation. That album was a letdown for me. progression through learning is still one of the heaviest albums I have ever heard.........and it's not that heavy, it's the energy. Damn fine album.

My favorite is Hi Fi and the Roadburners, I know the only reason they were on the label was because they are from Chicago, they never did really belong at any point in Victorys evolution, but they hung in there for 4 albums and I am thankful for that. I really wish the label had persued more in that realm, I guess it was'nt a hot seller with the "hardcore" crowd though.

Strife- only the 1st Lp
Integrity- up to and including "Humanity is the Devil", the rest sucks.
Earth Crisis- Firestorm 7" only
Iceburn- 7" only
By the Grace of God
Deadguy
Only the Stong comp

I'm sure there might be some others, but that's about it.

I used to love almost everything that came out on Victory... now it's absolute shit. I think what killed them was the last Earth Crisis album... Slither... horrible record. I'm looking forward to the Path of Resistance though, should be promising.

They're still going strong. They've put out shit on a lot of labels but Sal has been buying back the rights to everything over the last couple of years. He should start his own label and skip all the red tape.

I saw the new HiFi site. I wouldn't mind a shirt as I wore out the old one I got at a show years ago. I just want a new album.

I think everything SNAPCASE ever did was golden. The last record was good but not great like everything else they ever did. DESIGNS FOR AUTOMOTION was some of the best work they ever did. Not lookinglasself but close.

I do like the Tossers but I didnt think the Victory release was as good as previous albums. My personal favorite is Long Dim Road. And yeah Discipline, a new album would be fanfuckintastic to say the least. They still site Victory as their label, why I dont know. The label did very little to promote them I think.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

Aside from AF "something's gotta give" and "liberty and justice for..." and the Epitaph Insted album and Madball "Demonstrating My Style"... most of the first hardcore albums I bought were Victory releases. Warzone, Cause For Alarm, Earth Crisis, Strife, Snapcase and Hatebreed. Mid to late 90s were good for Victory... they just fell off bigtime, even though they're making multi-millions yearly. As far as I'm concerned Thorp and B9 are putting out the best shit right now in hardcore...
