Which roster is more your style?

Some of you wound up on the Thorp Board because you came for our metal bands. Some, for our hardcore bands. Still others for the punk bands. Which was it for you? And is Thorp or Sailor's Grave more "you"?

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

hardcore punk and now psychobilly. Sailors grave is WAY more my speed the way things are shaping up here. I just dont dig the metal core stuff, but Thorp has handled a wide variety of musical styles I think, so to call Thorp metal is not doing the label justice. I know you guys plan to head in that direction with Thorp while the Grave will focus on more punk, psycho, rock etc....... No one loses on this one, something for everyone.

I would probably say SG's lineup. There isn't a HELL of alot of hardcore I like anymore and the hardcore I DO like has punk elements as well.

I originally came for The Ducky Boys, then branched out to Slapshot, B4B, Ramallah. I've stayed for the kick ass people on here cause no one talks shit. You're all honest but you're not dicks about it, so I respect that.

Sailor's Grave fits me more though cause I'm more punk rock then I am hardcore/metal...although Thorp has opened my eyes to more music I didn't know about.

If it weren't for Duane and you guys, I wouldn't have heard Sick Of It All and loved it.

I'm telling you, something about this board makes it cool to post. Not to insult The Ducky Boys, but I can rarely post on their board anymore, let alone go look at it. This is my main board.

Now I'll have to split time with SGR's board too. Good thing Firefox has tabbed windows.

Ordering the BLOOD FOR BLOOD ep was why I came here in '04'.

Found out about you guys thru the Madball signing, started posting from then... Enjoyed a lot of your releases since then.

I was actually thinking a month or so ago that I dont dig punk that much anymore. Then I saw the roster for Sailors Grave records. And I was like damn, I like those guys, those guys, this band. and so on.

I came because Thorp out out the Madball ep, Ramallah, BFB, Punishment... so hardcore is where I'm at. Still, I'm into the Ducky Boys so without a doubt I'll be dabbling in Sailor's Grave.

Haha, yeah, I picked it because he's got that big yellow X on his glove. I always loved Wolverine as a kid... now he looks like he's straight edge... haha. Geez I'm corny. It's from a video game.

Yah, I know the game. I was never that big into Wolverine. They used him way too much. Overkill. I always liked Cyclops or Angel/Archangel.

HAHAHA..SXE Wolverine....goodbye cigars.

i would have to say the hardcore stuff brought my attention to thorp,
since the beginning i have been buying Thorp stuff ( Breakdown, NSK, Clenched Fist ).

But i am definitely a fan of both rosters.

sheer terror, blood for blood, ramallah, new breed, natchez shakers, ducky boys, discipline, i think thats why thorp is sooo good, you can find alot of very diverse and quality sounding bands if you are willing to do some research

I originally came here because of Awkward Thought and NSK, but I've loved seeing the more Punk bands get picked up. It is pretty cool to see that there's enough of 'em and it's getting big enough for this second label now. There are still several bands on here that I love, but I think SGR is more my speed for the most part.
