New Reality Show With Evan Seinfeld and Scott Ian

This almost makes me sick but I will of course watch it. I got this over at Blabbermouth:

VH1's 'Supergroup' To Premiere In May - Feb. 25, 2006

VH1 has reportedly set a May 18 tentative premiere date for "Supergroup", the new reality show starring Scott Ian (ANTHRAX; guitar), Ted Nugent (guitar), Evan Seinfeld (BIOHAZARD; bass), Sebastian Bach (ex-SKID ROW; vocals) and Jason Bonham (BONHAM, UFO, FOREIGNER; drums). Filming for the program commenced on February 22 in Las Vegas, with the premise being to lock several musicians in a house for 10 days and get them to write and record some new original music. Originally the network wanted the group to record an album, but at this time it is understood they will settle for one song and hope for more. In addition to the five musicians, star manager Doc McGhee (KISS) is in charge and is also living in the house for the duration of filming/recording.

Commented VH1 executive Michael Hirschorn, "What I liked about 'Supergroup' was that is combined elements that have worked so well for us (before), with an organic music idea."

The musicians will endure boot-camp-style training from McGhee in preparation for a concert at the Empire Ballroom on March 5 (where they will perform a version of the ANTHRAX classic "Only", according to Ian).

I am not a big "Reality" fan myself but I'm a huge mark for Biohazard and I think Scott Ian a decent guy.

I'm sure this will be a picnic. I can't even imagine what sort of mutant tune will come out of Scott Ian and Even Seinfeld with Nugent and Sebastian Bach.

Let me guess. they all worship the NUGE and Jason Bohnam gets mad props because of his Dad. Ian sucks up to Evan and Sebe Bach annoys everyone and gets everyone pissed.

New Update From Scott Ian

ANTHRAX Guitarist Checks In From 'Supergroup' Set: 'I Am Having So Much Fun' - Mar. 1, 2006

ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian has checked in from the Las Vegas set of the new VH1 reality TV show, tentatively titled "Supergroup", which features Ian alongside Ted Nugent (guitar), Evan Seinfeld (BIOHAZARD; bass), Sebastian Bach (ex-SKID ROW; vocals) and Jason Bonham (BONHAM, UFO, FOREIGNER; drums). Filming for the program commenced on February 22, with the premise being to lock several musicians in a house for 10 days and get them to write and record some new original music. Originally the network wanted the group to record an album, but at this time it is understood they will settle for one song and hope for more. In addition to the five musicians, star manager Doc McGhee (KISS) is in charge and is also living in the house for the duration of filming/recording.

Commented Ian: "I just got back from a strip bar with Evan. Shocking. Strip bars in Vegas? I am not locked in the house.

"This isn't 'Big Brother' or 'Surreal Life' or 'The Real World'. We can come and go as we please and will get as much out of this as we put in. Like college, only with Ted Nugent as your professor ripping on guitar.

"This is the ultimate summer camp.

"Ted taught me to shoot a bow today. I shot a perfect kill on a fake deer. I may be the first Jew to shoot an arrow.

"Paul Crook [former ANTHRAX/SEBASTIAN BACH guitarist] came over today and we jammed. He rips!!!

'The show we are doing is March 5 at the Empire Ballroom. I'm not sure how tix are being handled. They expect a sellout. I will post info tomorrow.

"I jammed 'Cat Scratch' with Ted today. Just him and I. Another Make A Wish moment.

"I am having so much fun."

I am looking forward to this now. It doesn't seem like it will be gay anymore. At least they are being honest and not all stupid and shit. Like making them jump through hopes and shit.

someday I'll sit down and tell you the story of my day with sebastian back when I work as the driver for the metal bar in austin...

honestly hairspray was bought, leather pants were sewn and ego was abundant....
this was about 5 years ago, and not a strip club in austin was open that night

i don't watch much tube but if it's on late night when trying to sleep I'd watch it

I'm so glad we don't get that station in Canada as that show sounds gayer than Carrot Top.
