Bodies the Exhibition
Im guessing that this is a traveling exhibit and I dont know where else it's been, but the wifey and I saw this a little over a week ago. It's an
exhibition of real human cadavers preserved by some process involving silicone. I honestly didnt pay attention to how they did it because seeing a
human figure with no skin standing in front of me was more interesting.
It was like an A&P class where it went through all of the different main systems in the body. There was a room that was about the central nervious
system and under glass there was a brain and all of the main nerves. In the cardiovascular room they had some way of injecting something into the
arteries/veins/capalaries that hardened. Then they'd strip away the rest of the flesh. They had a complete human cardiovascular system on display
along with other individual organs.
They even had a room dedicated to fetal development. It had a warning before you entered because they had some deformed fetuses, siamese twins, etc.
It could be a little disturbing.
Each room dedicated some time to diseases and the like. There was a cancerous lung, and enlarged heart, a kidney with a stone in it, etc. Incredible
exhibit!
Figured I'd post something about it as a recomendation to everyone who can stomach that sorta stuff. I wish they allowed you to take pictures! I
mean, they separated a human skeleton from it's organs and muscles and then propped them up in front of each other holding hands!

My buddy wne tot that about a year ago in Cleveland and said it was awsome. Expensive but awsome. Said it was like art.

Yeah, it wasnt cheap, but I think we spent more than 15 minutes there. I mean my feet really hurt towards the end. Also, our tour wasnt guided. We
paid some extra to get a recorded tour machine thingy.
I made a comment to the Mrs. when we were looking at a disected leg in a display case that I thought it would be cool to be the person who cuts off
the leg and does the disecting. Some lady gave me the dirtiest look ever, but come on..... how cool would that be???
