R.I.P. ERNIE OBHC/POWERHOUSE

Ernie Cortez, the bass player from Powerhouse and Cali hardcore legend, just died of cancer. I'm sure there are people who lurk around here that are Powerhouse fans or even good friends with the dude. R.I.P.

Powerhouse was one of my all time favorite bands, No Regrets is one of the best Hardcore records out there.

I'm glad to see this is already on here. He will be missed greatly. This guy laid the foundation for the scene that brought me into hardcore. He was far too young and will be missed. My site/board is currently shutdown in his memory, except for a thread to post your memories and respect.

Rest in peace.

this band was awsome and I wish I would have seen them play. I never had the chance in CLEVELAND. No regrets and the Pandemonium7" are great records. I heard great things about these guys as people. POWERHOUSE sound was just that,,, HARDCORE.
Pure and simple.
