step-parents

Not all step-parents... just the one's who try too hard to be considered family. Particularly if they are partially responsible for breaking up the original family.

My wife's step-mom is like that. She's a psycho-bitch and considers herself my son's grandmother... she's not, and never will be. I'm not teaching him that she is, I've no affection for her and neither does my wife.

Hello this is my first post on here, I've been browsing around for a while, figured this was a good place to blow off some steam. I'm currently writing a statement against my prick step-dad in order to help my mother with her custody battle over my half-sister. That sociopath shithead's gonna get shafted, he didn't see my testimony coming at all!

I actually have a cool stepdad, well they are not officially married
but i still consider him my stepdad
But my situation didnt come from divorce, and i am sure that makes things harder.
My Mom was a widow, my father died when i was 10.
My Mom met a guy who was also a widow and things went from.
When they first got together i was young so i didnt really like it.
i had the attitude that no one is gonna replace my dad. But as i grew up and matured i realized that my Mom being able to have someone in her life was a good thing.
Now me and him are like friends and we get along great.

\"thank you very little\"

that's cool. My wife's stepmom seems to be under the illusion that she's actually my wife's mom though. Let me give you an example...

On my wedding day(which was just us, a unitarian minister, my wife's mom, dad and step-mom) the step-mom says to my wife "I wish I could have planned your wedding" with my wife's mom sitting right next to her. What the fuck is that?
