BLACKLISTED DONE

I'm sure most on here already know of this but I didn't see a new post, and incase you might have not heard, they have broken up.

from deathwish inc.

For those who who have been following the recent BLACKLISTED news and notes, they have decided to stop playing as BLACKLISTED. After Tim's recent health concerns (BLACKLISTED guitarist), he has decided to put his efforts into other aspects of his life. Sadly we will miss him and BLACKLISTED but we wish him the best as he is a fantastic person. We will have more news as it comes from the BL Camp, but all we can say, is don't count them out, there's still three guys that are in the mix...Here's the word direct from their camp from George (BLACKLISTED frontman):

Dear Friends.
Blacklisted is over, We will be playing two shows, One in California at
Sound and Fury festival(july 28th, 29th, 30th). Also we will be playing
Joe Hardcores "this is hardcore fest" as our last official show in
August. I do not know if Tim will be playing any of these shows with
us. I have no idea why the band is over, Any of you can feel free to
ask Tim, Maybe he will give you a good answer, while he fights the
burdening doom of that adult crash. Who Knows, I do however know that
it has been fun, we have met a ton of people and friends that will
probably last us the rest of our lives. There has been alot of talk
about us being such a hard working band, but I dont really understand
it, we were just having fun and trying to put off real life for a
little while, there was no place we were trying to reach, Well maybe we
were trying to play more shows and more places then Black Flag, But we
failed so I dont want to touch on our negative points. Just being able
to hang out with Tim, Shawn, Zach, Pepito, Chris Ross, Bean and
countless fill ins around the world, was good for me, and im sure most
of them will say the same thing, Well maybe not Pepito, he would
probably put me in a chokehold and make me turn blue, then tap out or
something. Me, Shawn, Bean And Chris have a new band and have already
begun to hang out and write songs, Im not hanging up my longsleeve
anytime soon. We will be on the road soon (we really do not know how to
do anything else). Im sure Tim is gonna start some extremely weird
"solo" project where he recites poetry and tries to win over girls with
"whats your address and favorite flower". Hopefully he does then maybe
Former Blacklisted members can put that on while trying to set the mood
to fuck a chick and score some points with "yea i know that guy". So
that is pretty much it, see you at them shows hopefully.
thank you.
george and some of blacklisted.

now go start your own band.

I dont know about you, but that first paragraph kind of contradicts Georges statement

I saw SET YOUR GOALS open for IGNITE a month back and SET YOUR GOALS was bashing BLACKLISTED for bowing out of the tour. I heard it was a heart condition but the way SET YOUR GOALS was talking shit it seemed like it was something else.

From what I know, it is a heart condition. I'll be at This is Hardcore to catch these boys one last time. It's a bummer... basically just got into them a year ago and only managed to see them once thus far.

Set Your Goals is probably not on good terms with some Philly locals, especially if they were talking shit on BL..... could mean trouble for them next time they try to come around here.

H2O is on the bill for that big show now too from what the myspace bulletin said

to add to that...gorilla buscuits tix on ebay for nyc going $270 for a pair or 4 i forget..funny considering when they were together they probably didnt play too many shows with a door price much higher than $10

Who the hell is Tim? When I booked their first Canadian gigs there was no Tim, I spoke to Jay. He was the only one on guitar too.
Then when I asked him about coming back a year later, he said ask Tim!

I've never seen him and didn't know he existed haha. I thought Jay was the only guitar player.

The band rules & should go on without Tim anyways.

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
