maybe its just me.
besides going to shows at the khyber in philly when someone i like is there, or somethin really special i just balk at the whole idea.....

It's rare for me with the family and all, and I tend to agree with you Juan, I just dont like assholes standing too close to me. I'd say once every
two or three months, something will come along I am willing to brave. right now I'm going to see Sasquatch and the sickabillys in August and then
Social D in October.

I'll be 27 in October and I've been feeling that way. I think it comes with kids and old age.

Back in the younger days I used to go to damn near every show I could. These days I'm going on 30 soon and have a broken down body and a rather jaded
view on the "scene." The only time I hit a show these days is if it's a band I love, and those are few and far between these days.

I haven't been to a good show in a long time.
Most of the time i can't go because of one of the following:
1. I don't have a babysitter.
2. I'm broke.
3. I have to work the next day.
4. The show is to far away.
I would like to go to a good show somtime before the summer's over though..

Where I live now I have to travel at least 3 and a half hours to see anything approaching a real show. We occasionally will get something worth going
to here in town, but it's either a big deal up at the college venue (which means it's a sit down thing and overpriced as well), a teenybopper thing
with at least one of the local screamo bands on the bill (I swear, those bands are like roaches, there's nowhere on earth you can escape them), or
some kind of Country thing (Drag The River comes through every once in a while, for anyone who knows who they are) where most of the crowd are drunken
frat types.
Back home I was spoiled. There was something worth going to at least once or twice a week, but I usually didn't go because it was always available to
me. For years I went to every show I could, even a lot of shows where I had never heard of a single band on the bill, just because that was what my
friends and I did. As I got older that slowed way down and it took more and more to make shows worthwhile for me. I guess I was kinda like those jaded
scenesters in a way, because I felt like bands needed to impress me for me to do more than stand in the back or walk through the crowd a time or two.
Now I realize how good I had it and how much I miss it, but I'm sure I still wouldn't go to more than a show or two a month unless it just happened to
be the month that everybody good came to town.
I do have plans to go down to New Mexico for two shows next month, which will be nice. I don't even remember the last real show I saw.

also hoping to go to CBGB to see north side kings in september....

Last show I went to was The Pogues in March. Before that was Starkweather / Bad Vibes in November '05.
Coming up... Gorilla Biscuits in August, then Andrea Bocelli with the New York Philharmonic in September. That's it. That puts me at 4 shows in a
year. Yikes.
Reason? Mostly family responsibility. I just don't think it's appropriate for me to take off for a show and leave my wife to watch our daughter. We
go to non-hardcore shows together, but when it comes to bringing the mosh, I'm on my own.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

I haven't been to a show since April 2005. Just don't have the time these days...work, kids, wife, house, etc. There are plenty of shows I would
love to go to, but they're always too far away. There's a place in Harrisburg that has some killer shows, but that's like a hour and half drive. 3
hours drive time, plus 4 hours show is too long for me. I wish there were more shows in Philly. Well, I'm sure there are plenty of shows, just not
the bands I want to see.
I'm definitely going to GB , though there's a show the night before that I would rather go to, but again, its in Harrisburg. Hopefully I'll get to
one of days of the Philly Fest. I'm waiting for the line ups to get release so I can see which day has the best bands.
I get bummed about it mainly because shows are my only chance to see some of my friends. Most of the time seeing the band is secondary, I just like
hanging out with people I never get to see anymore.

I go to shows. Not nearly as many as in the past. Simply because shit sucks anymore. Seriously. How often does Social D, 7 Seconds, or its simply
because I am getting old. The new shit is just that. Shit.

Shows this year have been
WISDOM IN CHAINS
IGNITE
MADBALL
Murphy's Law
shit I think thats it this year.
Will be Gorilla Biscuits, SOIA, and if any others are announced that appeal to me. I have no desire to see this new garbage like "everytime I cry" or
whatever.

I might go see Lagwagon tonight. I almost went to see Municipal Waste two weeks ago, but got too lazy and just sat around watching tv instead. I
used to be much more motivated.
Im getting off my ass to see Mastodon again in September though.

I'm still a runt too, so I try to get to everything I can. Local shows have been a drag though, local scene has been in the shitter since high school
ended.

I've seen every band I have ever wanted to. I don't go so shows anymore, it does not really intrest me. I still buy the music and love hardcore, but
shows and the losers in this scene are not for me at all.

I am 35 and don't go to show that often. It usually has to be a band I really want to see. I live a hour out of Houston and most show happen during
weekdays. Plus having to put up with the karate kicking bullshit singing arm assholes.

I get out whenever I can, you gotta' support the scene or it'll get taken over by hippies. I'm trying to get more involved in helping along some of
the younger bands, we're soon gonna' start recording some local bands for cost, which won't be much and trying to get some more East Coast shit out
there. There's lots of good shit happening out here scene-wise lately and I want to keep it that way. I don't think age is a factor really except I
can only last two or three songs in pit .
Well, its this place where nobody works, and the pigs don\'t give you any shit. Everyone smokes weed and gets drunk all day. Its a place where
cunts like me and you can truly take it easy and relax. Know what I mean?
