posting from the Gorilla Biscuits show right now....

Guns Up played first and they were pretty good. The second band is just about finished now. I'm not sure who they are but they sound bad. They have 2 singers & they did a Jawbreaker song, but I don't really know what else to say about them.

I think there's another band, then Comeback Kid then Murphys Law then GB.

There's a bunch of cool GB merch. The shirts are pretty cheap too. $15 I think. A zip up hoodie is $30 though. Lots of designs to pick fom though which is cool.

I'll post more later!

Ok... Well I may have been mistaken about who has played already in my first post, but I know all the bands playing now (kinda)

GB
Murphys Law
Comeback Kid
Set Your Goals
Guns Up
Righteous Jams

And one other... This Is Hell might be their name.

That's it for now.

Ok.. So the order was....

Guns Up - they were pretty good.

Set Your Goals - they sounded pretty bad.

This Is Hell - they were good at what they did but it was kind of boring.

Righteous Jams - is playing now and I'm liking them a lot. They remind me of the Cro-Mags meets Leeway. Good stuff!

Comeback Kid is next I think.

Murphys Law is up before Comeback Kid.

They just did a cover of "straight edge" by Minor Threat.

i love honus's live reporting. did you find saaaaars? go find saaaaars. just start yelling' "SAAAAAAAARS!!" and see what happens.

i think the philly line up is GB, Come Back Kid, Murphy's Law, Set Your Goals, and This Is Hell. we could use some RJ.

at first i thought this is hell was juicy joel's brother's band. it's not. by a long shot. that would be 'fight like hell'. and 'run like hell' is john from awkward thought's band. i foresee eating dinner with my hommies during the first two bands. i'm not a big comeback kid fan, but i think saaaars is, so for that reason alone i'd like to see them. then, obviously murphy's law and gb.

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

The merch was practicly sold out by 1/2 way through the night and this was the 2nd show of the tour!

There was supose to be a tour exclusive 7" and they didnt have any. If anyone else goes to a show and they have the 7" PLEASE GET ME ONE!!

Sweete Pete sang a song with Civ.

Bed time!!

This Is Hell's demo/7" were amazing, I loved the band. Heard new stuff, Trustkill knows how to turn bands shit eh?

Guns Up is alright, they got their album Outlive put out in Australia by Washed Up. I thought they were a Melbourne band til I actually checked them out. hahaha

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

i'm bored, so here is my sum up of the show.

guns up! - are really fun
set your goals - watching their set made me never want to listen to them again and i previously enjoyed them
this is hell - awesome band/nice guys but their sound gets old fast
righteous jams - never get old for me, always fun
muprhsy law - LOVE this band so much, i could see them everyday. their set was not long enough at all
comeback kid - when "turn it around" was released, this band ruled. they have lost their two most important members of the band and it's no longer like seeing them. they are boring and stupid now. mosh mosh mosh.
gorilla biscuits - seriously, civ is the best. dude was hilarious the whole time and they played a flawless set list. sweet pete singing "as one" was also an enormous highlight.
