Rumor- New Skarhead Album

I was over at the Hardcorewebsite board. Haven't been there in a long time. I saw this thread from Black and Blue Productions:

http://www.hardcorewebsite.net/bored/viewtopic.php?t=5921

I hope they are really recording and aren't so heavy on the hip hop influence. I love skarhead.

It is happening. I am positive. Skarhead is definitely making some new shit. Although the label is still up in the air I guess. Stillborn may not be it.

I will shit my pants if that is true. I love Skarhead, ever since I heard them on the first New Yorks Hardest comp. They played once in Toronto and it was one of the funniest shows I have ever been to in my life. Long live Skarhead.

Skarhead was THE band that really got me into HC. I saw them with Madball, Hatebreed and Earth Crisis. It was one of the best nights of my life. I will never forget it.

I really hope this shit is true.

I saw them in Detroit with the same line up except hatebreed was on the bill as well. That was a good show.

I met Goat at the merch table right before EC went on. He was such a cool guy. Then the bar next door (attached to the venue actually) was having Bondage night. Basically simulated bondage acts for patrons to take part in. He asked me about it and I asked him, "Well, you guys are all from NYC. Doesn't that happen on almost every street corner?" He laughed and introduced me to Ezek (sp) and Freddy and Jasta. They proceeded to ask me about the place next door and I said, "Fuck it, check it out yourself. Let's go." So they started to head outside and I stopped them and said, "Hey you guys are "in the bands" here's a back door we can just walk through."

Hoya joined us and they all sat in amazement and the crazy shit going. Freddy got pretty drunk so we helped him to the van at about 3:00. I got home at 3:45 got up at 6:30 to go to my sales job on Tuesday morning.

I'll never forget that night. I was a fucking blast. All of those guys were so fucking nice.

Is that because Thorp is going to put it out? :D Insider info! haha

A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.

I remember them playing at the old ywca on Christan street. Awsome venue. Freddy let me stand on stage the whole fucking show an sing and being like 17 I was fucking siked. When skarhead played another awsome show. Later as the other bands where playing the one hispanic guitar player walked up to me and started talking about the graphitti on my bag, awsome guys. That's when Lou (subzero) was still singing with them. Really really nice guys. Then at the troc they rolled that manson fag that spit on them, classic.

Seeing those guys live is like going to a huge party, they have the best vibe when they play shows. When I saw them the first time Boston Mike was with them and the second time it was some huge Spanish guy that was a as wide as he was tall. They were still great with no Boston Mike, not to take away from him of course.
