nice, thanks for posting that.

The other guest was Mr. Rollins, who has built a successful career as an actor and ranter. (He?s most charming, though, when he?s punching someone in
the head; the film provides definitive proof.)

I like this quote.... hahahah Knuckleheads!
Quote: |
The best thing about the current hardcore revival is the way the genre still resists idealization. What can you say about a video of Choke, from the
Boston band Negative FX, wearing a Bruins jersey and bellowing a knuckleheaded song called ?Might Makes Right?? This scene wasn?t pretty. To anyone
who doesn?t love it, hardcore must seem downright indefensible.

I saw the film. My wife's friend works for SonyClassics. It was a good film if you enjoyed the book. I thought NY got the shaft, but then I
remembered, this film only talks about hardcore up until around 84/85. NY really gets on the map late 85/early 86.

saw it on tuesday. it's definately worth checking out, mainly live clips interspersed with interview clips. NY definately doesn't feature as heavily
as Cali but like you said that kinda makes sense given the time period. heavy on the Bad Brains which was awesome, some footage i hadn't seen before.
they even got HR to make some sense for a little while, sure that was like pulling teeth. some HUGE glaring omissions (DK, Social D, Misfits, Reagan
Youth, Husker Du, Fear etc etc), i'm sure some of which were legal issues (like i know DK/Jello was). And some bands featured that you were like what
the fuck?, like who the fuck ever gave a shit about Nig Heist? Some of the interviews were pretty funny like Harley and John Joseph.
The very existence of flamethrowers proves that sometime, somewhere, someone said to themselves, ?You know, I want to set those people over there on
fire, but I?m just not close enough to get the job done.? George Carlin

I know you can't put every band in there, but The Misfits and DK should have been. What legal issues would prevent you from talking/writing about a
band? I can see bands not wanting to be interviewed, but couldn't Blush just give history/opinion of these bands?
