Sick Of It All Tribute Album Planned
Posted on Fri September 29th by EddieCash
Apparently there's a Sick of it All tribute album being planned for release at the end of the year. I can't find too much info on it, but if what I've read is true, this album should completely kick ass. According to Mtv, Stretch Arm Strong will cover "Busted," Rise Against will do "Built to Last," Unearth will take on the classic "Clobberin' Time," and the mighty Sepultura get a shot at "Scratch the Surface."

According to GeekBurger.com, AFI, Hatebreed, Dropkick Murphys, Bouncing Souls, Napalm Death, Walls of Jericho, and Most Precious Blood are all also on board for the tribute. Not a bad roster.

On a side note, don't forget to check the SOIA feature on the punkbands.com main page.

Don't like most of those bands so I'm not exactly going to be holding my breath in anticipation.

The only cover on it that will be any good is Napalm's. I download the one song.

None of these bands can hold a candle to SOIA and therefore will not do any kind of justice to their music.

Napalm Death is better than SOIA and will do justice to the cover.

I hate "tribute" records. The only one I really like was the Embrace one.

I am looking forward to this. Allt hose bands. Even Unearth who I don't care for.

SOIA is definitely one of my favorite bands. Looking forward to this record. It'll be cool to hear other bands interprutations on songs I've loved for years.

I'm with Vodoo, I don't need to hear screamcore covers of songs that were awsome to begin with.

The only band listed that I would even be curious to hear covering any Sick Of It All songs would be Dropkick Murphys. The rest would be shit.

S.O.I.A is one of pretty much the only 10 or 12 bands I've listened to since I was like 13 so I really only dig the covers they do. "Tribute to Real Oi!" is a good example. Maybe Blood for Blood, AF, Dropkick etc... I think Death Threat could do something good but really who am I to say.
