I'm the old chien Andalusian

you NEED to write a book.
or at the very least, start a blog detailing your adventures - perhaps, theslovenianjohn.com.
the book offers will follow shortly!

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

if you're feeling really artsy fartsy check out the movie "un chien andalou" by luis bunuel and salvador dali. it's the movie debaser is about. it features an eyeball being sliced and ehm.. that's about all the fun. back in the day i'm sure people were shocked by it.

Oh shit, I never really gave a rats ass for the Pixies until I got into Frank Black solo! And then I went back and re-visited all of the Pixies albums....but to be totally honest, great as 75% of the material was, it failed to compare to Frank Black's solo shit. Just my opinion, but I would highly recommend you give FBs solo shit a chance...........

My personal favorite(s) is "Black Letter Days" along with the simultaneously released "Devils Workshop"....HOWEVER....many many Pixies/and/or FB fans would swear that the holy grail is "Teenager of the Year" (which is a very hard-to-get-into- album but is very DAMN GOOD once you DO FINALLY get INTO IT.....but that is another story altogether).........

Anyways, for folks on this board, I would HIGHLY recommend the following: "Dog in the Sand", "Black Letter Days", & "Devil's Workshop".........

I guess the closest the Frank Black solo that I grew up on was the first couple of Fugazi albums and/or maybe some "Ziggy" era David Bowie...........but FB solo has been, in the past decade, some of the most timeless music that I have gotten into! (Along with Blood For Blood, Ramallah, Sinners & Saints, David Allan Coe, Waylon Jennings, Jackson C. Frank, Simon & Garfunkel, etc.............

Anyways, give FB solo an honest chance..........I personally think that it deems the stuff he wrote with and/or FOR the Pixies pretty much obsolete....................

Indeed!
Write that book.
I'll buy a whole bunch of them and give them away as Christmas presents.

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

pixies are great.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.
