good news

based on the comments about the ny subway event and the kid falling from the window, i searched for sites that highlight the good news of the world. thought there might be a good idea for a new blog there, but it's already being done. here are a few:

http://www.goodnewsnow.com
http://www.goodnewsdaily.com
http://www.goodnewsnetwork.org
http://www.goodnewsblog.com

If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

^^^^ I agree.

Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

the news bothers me
its never good unless it is a silly don polecs world segment of human interest (philly)
it is a frightening world to raise children in.
part of me wants to leave the outskirts of philly and move out near duane's farm.

I hear that. Even the northeastern corner of PA (which is historically small town) is going to hell in a handbasket. Northern Idaho looks like a hot ticket to me. Very quiet, isolated and some legitimately decent human beings.

i was a senior in HS, so this was maybe 91, and had skipped school to go skating with my friends. We were walking into the Tower (rip) on South Street, just as Don pulled up. I was fuckin psyched, so I ran over and told him how awesome i thought his glasses were and he asked if we wanted to be interviewed for this piece he was doing on a CD of celebrities singing cover songs. Shit like leonard nimoy and what not. Anyway, my clip was what i thought of Mae West covering Twist and Shout. I still have in on VHS somewhere.
