FAVORITE RELEASE OF '06'
I have to admit as much as I liked the new SLAYER I haven't jammed that out since summer.
My choice is IGNITE our darkest days.
I want to say SOIA's latest and it was AWSOME but IGNITE made me a fan again. After being dissapointed with A PLACE CALLED HOME I was suprised to hear
them kick ass again.
In my eyes this was a lame year for releases and I can't figure out is its just me or they really did suck. In the defense of newer bands this year. I
have to say its probably me. I suck.
Runners up are the WELCH BOYS.
Each aspect of the soul has it's own part to play, but the ideal is harmonious agreement with reason and control.

DEADBOLT "I should have killed you"
MOTORHEAD "Kiss of Death"
CASH "American V"
ROGER MIRET AND THE DISASTERS "My Riot"
KINGS OF NUTHIN "Over the counter culture"
KOFFIN KATS "Strayin from the pack"
these are all at the top of my list, if I had to pick overall it would be Deadbolt.

Hard call. I picked up a number of good albums from '06.

The Kill Decibel 7"
About To Snap 7"
The Dead Walk - We Prowl The Streets
Sick of it All - Death to Tyrants
Slumlords - On the Stremph
A lot of people ask me what kind of music I like. I love "soul music". My "soul music" isn’t a style, genre or niche. It’s music that is genuine. It’s
a painful lyric, a dirty bassline, it’s a harrowing vocal, it’s feedback, it’s an anthem, it’s a love song, it’s anarchy. I’ve got my personal
favourites but in the end it doesn’t matter who or where it comes from... so long as it’s good and it's real.
