Anyone see it yet? I am going to go see it in IMAX tomorrow! I am fucking psyched! I have been wanting to see an Imax film since forever and this looks like it will be the perfect flick to see in Imax. This movie just looks beautiful.

I'm pretty put off by this one generally... first of all, judging from the previews Miller makes the Spartans look like musclebound models of civility and the Persians like monsters and mutant barbarians. And judging from his opinions regarding cultures other than Western expressed on NPR's Talk of the Nation it's basically his own Eurocentric cultural superiority rant.

By the way, I just came back from seeing it and it is AMAZING!! frank Miller is on a whole new level of filmaking and this proves it. Great movie with a solid storyline (obviously) based loosely on historical fact and mythological prose. The violense has never looked more artfull. Very good flick

I think you have to take into consideration that it isnt being made as a historical movie, its based on a comic book series.

I know that Josh, but his point was to make the Persians look less than human in the comic book due in no small part to his Eurocentrism.
