absolutely, they're great people. i tend to think of them more as very close friends who just happen to be older (and creators of my wife!)

My girl's Mom died when she was a teenager and I met her Dad one time. He has personal problems and she doesn't really interact with him. He seemed like a nice guy though. Loves music. On the flip side of that, she gets along well with my parents.

They are two of my best friends. I also own a house with them that we "weekend" at. Great people. I'd do anything for them.

we get along but they are pretty shitty examples of the human race....
greedy as fuck, and would rather give the grandkids cash then spen actual time with them
we try to sway them fro mthe dark side, but they are pretty lost
so I keep my mouth shut and do my thing and they do theirs

they are part of the reason we left texas for PA
we wanted the kids to be closer to the grandparents and do all the stuff kids and grand parents are supposed to do
hasn't worked out that way yet
we can't even get them to watch the kids so heather and I can go to a movie....
yeah fuck them

man, i'm sorry to hear that, steve.
my inlaws were a big part of the equation when we moved back to pa, too.
we're about 25 minutes away, and we probably see them twice a week.
they literally play with the kids for hours any time they're together.
and they're always up for babysitting.
my mother in law will stop by unannounced just to bring me leftovers. does that woman know me, or what?!

My mother in law could drop dead, I truly hate the bitch. If it wasn't for us needing the help from her babysitting, I probably would have cursed her out and banned her from ever seeing her grandkids. Yes, she's that bad.

Im sure that once I have kids my father will do this. I want to discourage this though because my father would meddle in our personal business and pick apart how we're raising our kids (he's done this with my sister).... trying to be helpful but being annoying. Plus, I dont want him to come over unannounced because I like to walk around naked in my own home.

So yeah... I bet if you asked Mrs. Moron this same question she'd have a few things to say about my dad. He's a loving, caring guy but his attempts at helping out are a bit misguided sometimes.

I get along with my wife's dad and her mother... I just hate her stepmother. So does she, and all her siblings. Not only did the bitch break up her family way back when, but she's a fucking psycho. I want to kill her and I hate it that she calls herself a grandmother to my son. Hello bitch, everyone hates you and you aren't blood! Fuck off!

Even her own kids think she's a nut.

On the good side of things, her mom is semi-nuts, not as much as my mom *who's in the looney bin as we speak* but it gives us something to talk about. Oh an he's a drunk, which I think is why she's attracted to me, you know the whole goes for a guy like their dad thing....although he did get me a nice set of golf clubs for xmas that I haven't used yet....

my wifes mom and dad are dairy farmers...I work the farm with them whenever i'm "home". I have total respect for both of them. My mom died when I was a teen so I look at my Mother in Law as mom now. My father in law is a wise farmer with great stories to tell. I am very lucky.

Yeah it's pretty cool. I've delivered cows, milked cows, wrangled cows, watched as my bro in law inseminated them (not with his sperm sickos).

All in all it has made me feel pretty good about Canadian Milk.

yeah its a line from "her father didn't like me anyway" by shane macgowan and the popes. seemed fitting for the topic.
