Love that new song. Its nice when bands sing about their area and aren't on the nuts of bigger cities/crews.

Know who loves their area?

Clutch.

Those dudes LOVE Maryland.

^ now, that's true!

see, i'm more of an 'east coast' kinda guy.

my hardcore career began in pa, but even as a youngster, we used to road trip to ny and nj for shows. then, five years in baltimore/md, ten in nyc. plus, i don't really know many people in the scene here in pa any more.

I know it's more convenient because people know big cities and not every little county or town but I hate when bands rep a big city when their isn't even a single member in said city.

Thats the story of Chicago hardcore. About 4% of the bands claiming Chicago hardcore are actually from the city.

The bands that are actually FROM the city are the red headed step children of the 'chicago scene'.

and yes CF is Memphis proud.

Anti Heros was always another band...tons of songs with references to ATL locals, always cool.

The Jersey Oi bands have always been that way too.

Truly is a sign of bands proud of what they're doing and where its coming from....not trying to impress anyone and not needing to be a part of a damn thing they weren't born a part of.

You know what I just noticed? If I were to go check out the record release show in June in Allentown I'd have to pay more because I'm over 21... I don't fuckin' drink, why the hell should I pay 15 bucks for that show if I'm not gonna drink???? Fuckers.

Indeed.

Suckers. Its only 19 in Canada and 18 in Quebec, the whole 21+ thing in some states is just weak.

Dave,

Just say you don't drink, ask for the underage stamp, and pay the <21 cover charge. Usually, it's the opposite, since the club can't make booze money off the under 21 crowd. I'm sure they be OK with the sXe guy paying the legit cover for his style.

It's too bad all the BFL bands aren't as good as WIC.
