Used to be really into Madball but haven't listened to them in quiet a while. I'll probably check this one out out of pure curiosity.

You're entitles to your opinion definitely, but I just dont hear filler on that album. Sure every album has stand out tracks and some not, but to say filler I think is a bit harsh. So I'm interested in what tracks you consider filler.

I couldn't if I tried. I'd have to pull the CD out and listen to it and check the track listing just to tell what song is what. I wouldnt have to do that on any other MB release.

I remember the one about more cocaine or whatever being a solid song and a couple others...it was that bland to me...I actually made a mix CDEP with like 6 songs that I liked because I had the CD in my car for a while when it came out and skipped over more tracks than I listened to. I figured at least that way I can play those songs straight through.

Me too. I'd mix up the tracks with other tracks from different albums to mix it up a bit. Can't listen to it straight through whereas the others I can.

I have never seen a simple picture posted, no words, to start a thread, and have seen it garner this kind of responce.

DAK. Nice work.

My list of Madball albums as listed by favorite. (Because other albums are being mentioned)

1. Hold It Down
2. NYHC ep
3. Demonstrating My Style
4. Set It Off
5. Legacy
6. Look My Way
7. Droppin' Many Suckas
8. Ball Of Destruction

Pretty good list, I'd personally leave off Ball and Droppin as thats the old Madball which is basically Freddy singing AF songs (this is not bad, theyre just two different menatalities of band to me)...but Madball as a seperate band would be

1. Hold It Down
2. Set It Off
3. Demonstrating My Style
4. NYHC ep
5. Legacy
6. Look My Way

Another one that was good was the 7 prior to Hold It Down that had thinkin to myself and fools die on it

edit...'been there done that' 7"

Personally I prefer to spin the Best of... disc that way I don't have to pick and choose the most shining tracks from the Roadrunner albums. Haha.

So I was listening to Legacy this weekend with 'filler' tracks in mind. And I admit, some of the songs sound rushed and not their strongest material for inner album tracks. So I stand by that this is a great album, but I digress and understand how some people precieve some tracks as filler.

There are some filler tracks. I still think its a better record than most hardcore bands put out that year, too.

I am partial to "Hold It Down." Great Record.

I remember where I bought that one and when. Itwas in this place in my little hometown that carried only hardcore records from Victory and what little was on Roadrunner and Century Media. There was good stuff on Vic in those days, that same store was where I got my first Warzone and Cause For Alarm records. And Agnostic Front Liberty and Justice which I had to special order.

Only thing I would change here is putting Set It Off before Hold it down, but this is dead on what you have.

Madball has completed the recording process for their sixth full-length release, titled "Infiltrate The System." The effort was recorded at Planet Z Recording in Massachusetts with producer/engineer Zeuss. Ferret Music will release "Infiltrate The System" in August in North America. The European release will be handled by I Scream Records while Australia will be serviced by Resist Records.
