So, I went deep-sea fishing this weekend

It was a bachelor party. 12 drunk guys + 2 sober crew members on a 95 foot boat. Left around 3am, went 30 miles out, caught 88 sea bass.

Pretty fun stuff. Except at around 6am when the drunkest dude onboard found the harpoon gun and started running around threatening people with it.

One guy in the group is a chef, so he hooked up dinner when we got back to the dock. i grilled four huge fillets at home last night, too. Delicious.

Were you guys really afraid that dude would actually use it?

not intentionally.
but i believe standing on a boat in the middle of the open ocean after 12 hours of drinking with an armed harpoon gun is one of the many definiteions of "accident waiting to happen"! ;)

Last time I did that, I threw up like crazy. Damn sea sickness!

Not a big boat, waves were 40-50 feet high and the boat was practically swallowed up by them, you couldn't see past the wave in front of the boat or behind it the whole time, scary shit to me that was my first time! Some damn rough waters

I love fishing (and crabbing) but i've never done deep sea fishing. It sounds fun... i'll have to try it one day.

Have you ever noticed how crayons are a lot like M&M's? All the colors tend to taste the same.

My buddy just went deep sea fishing for thrasher sharks. First time out he caught a 248lb, said it fought him for 2 and a half hours.

I would love to go out some time this summer.
