DKM new album update
Dropkick Murphys have announced the details about their follow up to 2005's The Warrior?s Code.
The record is their 6th studio full length and is titled The Meanest of Times. The record features guest appearances by Spider Stacey of the Pogues
and Ronnie Drew of the Dubliners. It was recorded at The Outpost in Stoughton, MA and produced by the Dropkick Murphys. The guest vocals were recorded
at Westland Studios in Dublin by Dave Slevin.
The record is due out September 18, 2007 on the band's own label Born & Bred Records, in association with Warner Music Group's Independent Label
Group. The ILG is comprised of Asylum Records, East West Records and Cordless Recordings, it also owns a stake in Ferrett Records and maintains a
partnership Minneapolis-based hip-hop label Rhymesayers. This will be the band's first major release without longtime label Hellcat Records.
As previously reported the band will hit the road for a slate of US tour dates in August.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

underground, right? Fuck it, The Murphys grew out of trying to be just an underground band a long time ago. I hope they don't get screwed by getting
involved with Warner's, but if it can do good things for them, I wish 'em the best. They stopped being my favorite Punk Rock band a long time ago, but
they've grown into a damn fine band all the same, if y'know what I mean.

I'm not trying to call sellout or anything, thats just silly. They have earned and deserve success I agree. And maybe they have outgrown hellcat. But
I dont trust warner music for shit. To leave hellcat for warner, I dont know man. Just doesnt sit right with me. Now if they did it to soley be on
their own label, I'd be better with it. But even this label they're under is under the warner umbrella. I dont like warner at all. Even when ferret
signed on to the deal I was apprehensive. And I know Carl. But its all my opinion. I dont run around talking shit on people or bands. I just think its
kinda weak to grow so much then abandon ship for what could potentially be a disasterous situation. Again though, just an opinion.

I'm sooooo tired of these guys. The Irish thing has been beaten to death, and yes I'm Irish.

Didn't the band, or at least Ken Kelly, already own Flat Records? Why are they starting another label? I don't really care what label it comes out
on, as long as it's good.

Whatever label it is I will get it. Like everyhting they have done even WARRIORS CODE. Peiople diss it but I thought it was good stuff.

I liked Warrior's Code. The only DKM release I didn't like was Blackout. Listened to it twice, and haven't looked at it since.

I actually preferred Blackout to The Warriors Code. Both are good as far as I'm concerned.

Warrior's Code is immensely superior to Blackout. That record blows.

Blackout is not as bad as most say it is. I finally bought it earlier this year after ahting it when it was relseased because of the video from that
record. BLACKOUT is stellar.

I enjoy Blackout a lot.
I think those two (Blackout and Warriors Code) are both my favourites after Gangs.,

Nah, Do or Die is okay but it doesn't represent DKM as a band.
It represents what they were.

I'm curious, how does it not represent them as a band? Maybe not the current lineup, but the Do or Die lineup was the same for their first several
releases.
