so, for those of you who don't like her... what is it you don't like?
do you think she's a gimmick? do you not like soul in general? is the combination of a classic sound with modern lyrics too much of a mash up? do
you think she's doing the originators of that style a disservice?
i mean, it's not like she was packaged like a brittney spears or christina agulera because her sound is super-popular right now. i think part of the
reason she's getting so much press is because what she's doing IS kind of different.
If I fail math, there goes my chance at a good job and a happy life full of hard work.

I got an issue of Rolling Stone in the mail and she was on the cover. I didn't know who she was and I must have said something like "who's this
idiot?" and the Mrs. couldn't believe I hadn't heard of her. She then brought up a bunch of videos on youtube and I didn't like it. I'd give her
another chance since I don't exactly remember WHY I didnt like her stuff. I just remember saying it was crap and telling her to turn it off.
