Cover Song Question???
What songs should be banned from being covered?
My vote goes for these 2: CRUCIFIED and AS ONE.
Everyone butchers them cause they are simple to play, but usually do something to ruin them for me.....

I'd be happy with sXe bands never covering Minor Threat anymore, as it's been done to death. Same with newer "youth crew" styled bands covering YOT
and Gorilla Biscuits.

Straight edge bands cover Minor Threat still? I thought Minor Threat was pretty much irrelevant in the wider context of straight edge ages ago... Huh.

That doesn't count... two of the dudes in the band at the time were IN Warzone for years.
I agree with Mike Disgrace.... I'd also like to add "Sick People" by Breakdown to that list. I've seen so many bands butcher that song too.
"Crucified" is the worst because they're obviously doing the AF version of the song. Doing a cover of a cover is GAY.
Props to Merauder for doin a Skrewdriver song.. hahahaha

we used to cover a Minor Threat song, way WAY back.
we butchered it for sure.
we also did, these over the years:

death was too kind - subhumans
traitor - oxblood*
watching the apples grow - stan rogers*
ramones - motorhead
home for a rest - spirit of the west*
no retreat no surrender - springsteen*
joe hawkins - oppressed
ultra violence - oppressed
(*these were the only desent ones)
